Witness Examination

The Witness Examination Competition requires individuals attempt to advance their side's case by examining witnesses to adduce oral evidence. The trial runs from the opening statements, to the examination of witnesses, through to the closing address.

Witness Examination involves thinking on your feet, and requires little preparation. The objective of the Trial Advocacy Competition is to develop the competitor's communication and critical legal thinking  skills.

The Witness Examination Competitions offer successful competitors with an opportunity to represent UNSW at external Witness Examination Competitions such as ALSA (Australian Law Students Association).
